Can't Book For Shizzle? Here's What To Bring To Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party? (If We Were Invited)

Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party + Extended Preview VIDEO*
*Designerlebrity™ first to share VH1's extended preview look!
Well all right. We got dinner plans on November 7th at 10/9c. VH1 is treating us to the premiere of Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party. Problem is, (if we were actually invited) we would need to contribute a dish that gets respect from the hosts, Martha and Snoop, along with a few of their celebrity guests like, 50 Cent, DJ Khaled, Seth Rogen, Bella Thorne, Jason Derulo and Ashley Graham. I think you get the idea of the grocery list of stars coming to the table. But considering this awesome odd duo is redefining the traditional dinner party and we're sure to love it like comfort food, I say we start redefining what is acceptable to bring to Potluck Dinners. Especially if we can't cook!
So you can't cook for shiz? No worries, Designerlebrity™ has got you. The trick is to have the hosts of the party have your back when you bring your dish to the table. BYD= Bring Your DISH! You want to bring meals that tell a story (aka the Dish). Better yet, a meal with good enough dish on the host/s, because conversation at the table is also part of the recipe for a good time at these potluck dinners.
WHAT SNOOP LIKES
POPEYE's Biscuits are hood approved. Trust me, from someone born and raised in the projects, this is the side dish to share. They are buttery, flaky deliciousness. Plus the dish here is to get snoop to admit "the hood is going to go crazy when they see this" as Snooped mentioned in the extended video clip above.
Next is to bring in another hood favorite, Gin & Juice. Snoop is the face of Tangueray, so it is a given to share with the guests Snoop's very own Tanqueray No. TEN 'Laid Back' cocktail recipe:
- 1 oz. Tanqueray No. TEN
- 1 oz. Cîroc Apple
- 2 oz. Fresh Pineapple Juice
- Splash Club Soda
- Add all ingredients to a shaker filled with ice.
- Strain into Double Old Fashioned Glass.
- Top it off with a splash of Club Soda.
YOU WILL NEED:
Glassware: Double Old Fashioned
Garnish: Pineapple wedge or lime
Now we can't forget the sweets. So kicking it back old school, I would bring it back to a personal favorite. Brooklyn's Junior Cheesecake. Rappers have spit beats on this infamous dessert. I'm sure Martha would want to remix it with garnish fruits and berries, but the joy is to have Snoop explain why this is the bomb at the table.
WHAT MARTHA LIKES
WARNING!: You better be buddy buddy with Martha Stewart to bring anything made by Bethenny Frankel to the party. Let's just say they have history. But you have to admit, this would give new meaning to "Table Talk". Personally I would stay on Martha's good side and bring in the lady's favorite Veuve Clicquot: Rosé. Best to razzle dazzle and let Martha show you how it's done by adding her own special touches. (Which you know she will as it's pure instinct on her part to do so.)
Lastly, you have to dish about something personal. Martha being a New Yorker herself will know about the iconic NYC bakery, Magnolia Bakery. I LOVE their Whoopie Cookies. The name of these cookies alone is going to give the show's eclectic guests a naughty topic of discussion. Especially since last we heard, Martha is still single! Want to talk about the dating pool you are dipping your toe in Martha?
Now for the very bare basics. BROWNIES!!! Come November 7th at 10/9c, only on VH1, I'm opting for brownies! Let's just say for obvious reasons. All jokes aside this looks to be a great night of weekly entertainment. You don't have to take my word for it. Martha Stewart describes it best...
