Welcome To A Page Dedicated to the POTENTIALS

by Barbara Viteri

Welcome to the |POTENTIALS| page! This section on Designerlebrity has a special place in my heart. It's where I put my over two decades of expertise and keen eye for talent and showcase them to the world as THE designers with tremendous potential. It's a total follow their journey moment on here with these "potential" Designerlebritites!

I use to be a contributing interior design editor for a few magazines. I enjoyed writing about celebrity interior designers (still do) and hence launching this site for the designerlebrity junkies in all of us. But I got really excited to hunt and find the designers the industry did not take notice of yet. It's a thrill to put them out there first and watch their star shine soon after.

This section acts like the "America's Got Talent" of the interior design world. I don't label them as Rising StarsUp and Comers, or New Trads. They are simply designers with immeasurable potential. This is the "mark my words" portion on Designerlebrity.

I feel so confident in spotlighting them that I'm pretty certain they will soon be featured on Designerlebrity Talk! Here are the |POTENTIALS| I spotted that are truly making a Designerlebrity name for themselves today:

Interior design is most effective when it is taken from a holistic approach. It’s not as easy as asking a designer which sofa to buy, because what the designer knows is that the RIGHT sofa depends on at least a hundred other design elements.in that space! - Arianne Bellizaire

You have a tattoo on your finger that actually measures out to an inch. Tell us the story behind this and be honest, does it help you measure anything when you work on design projects?

“I do- HA - At the beginning of my career, after so many times changing purses and having my tape measure not make the switch, (and amassing a serious tape measure collection) I was talking to a fellow designer friend who cuff the cuff said, “why don’t you just get it tattooed.” Why not right?! So I did, but the honest truth is, I wanted something demure as an homage to my profession, not a call out, so on the finger it went. Now, even my keychain as a tiny tape measure on it, but the finger has definitely saved me a few times when needing to know a quick dimension!”- Brett Helsham

Your home should be simplistic yet detailed, elegant yet livable and stylish yet functional. We think outside the box so you don’t have to.”- Gabrielle Santiago

This process is not about my style. It’s about your style - through my filter.”- Nile Johnson

I eagerly look forward to adding some amazing talent to the POTENTIALS page. Stay tuned!
